Wine and the Word

Join us for Wine and the Word via ZOOM on Sunday evenings from 7 - 8 pm. We are starting a new series on April 11th using the book The Life You've Always Wanted: Spiritual Disciplines for Ordinary People by John Ortberg (the May 5, 2015 version). There should be many new and used options available on Amazon, or anywhere Christian books are sold.  Please contact Anthony and Cindy Capone at thecapone05@gmail.com for further details if you would like to participate, and invite a friend!

Help Mothers for Mother's Day!

As you are honoring or remembering your mother on Mother’s Day (May 9th), we invite you to donate items for mothers seeking help through the local Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC).  With an increase in the number of clients seeking shelter, they would especially appreciate donations of new bedding and towels. They have also experienced a large increase in individuals seeking counseling services, so it would be helpful to donate items for a counseling ‘toolbox.’ For children, these kits include drawing utensils, paper, notebooks for journaling/drawing, fidget toys to help with concentration, and bubbles to help practice calm breathing. For adult survivors, aromatherapy may be one component of their ‘toolbox.’ Many adult survivors also benefit from journaling and having a special notebook to use. Donations for DASACC can be dropped off at the church.

Memorial Bricks for the Prayer Garden

Do you ever wish you could remember a loved one in

a special, quiet place?  If you wish, you can purchase a memorial brick for the Bob Zimmer Prayer Garden behind the church building!  It has recently undergone many improvements - if you have not ventured up there, please take a stroll up and look around.  Contact the church office at stlukeswashington@verizon.net for further information about placing an order for memorial bricks.

Pray with the whole church at noon everyday!

Almighty and  merciful God, you are the only source of health and healing; you alone can bring calmness and peace.  Grant to us, your children, an awareness of your presence and a strong confidence in you.  In our pain, our weariness, and our anxiety, surround us with your care, protect us by your loving might, and permit us once more to enjoy health and strength and peace; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.  Amen.
