Please join us after our 10:30 a.m. worship service for our congregational dinner and meeting! Enjoy great food and fellowship while we also vote on the 2020 spending plan and elect the candidates who have stepped forward to serve in open positions.
We encourage anyone dealing with grief and loss to join us from 12 to 1:15 pm on Sunday November 10th and November 24th, to share your experiences in a comfortable setting, or to just listen. Attending a bereavement group has been found to be beneficial for individuals dealing with grief and loss, but does not require any further commitment on your part.
The lack of access to clean water is one of the biggest challenges to overcoming poverty. It's also one of the most powerful opportunities to create change! With a simple well, as many as 500 families gain access to clean water. People then spend less money on medical expenses and more on food and education. Our goal is to raise $2,500 for a simple water well. Donations of any amount are welcomed! Please make checks out to St. Luke's Lutheran Church and write "For Water Well" on the memo line.
We are collecting long crew socks for the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover to distribute to the people who are homeless and come seeking food and other resources each week. The church operates Faith Kitchen and Edna’s Haven, offering various services to a wide community in need of help. They need warm and long crew type socks, because many of the homeless wear work boots. No particular brand is required, just good quality and long socks. They must be new, not used (no matter how gently used). In the cold of winter the food pantry sometimes distributes up to 3 dozen pairs a week.
Join us to make crafts and deck the halls, and enjoy some carols and treats as well!
Join us after the 10 a.m. worship service to go Christmas caroling at the Brakeley Park Center in Phillipsburg!
